Pricing and
licensing commercial photography is a skill developed through experience. There
are many variables that involve each proposed assignment or stock image. Meanwhile,
professional photography has become more expensive to the photographer who
incorporates a digital workflow and there are some new terms that have
developed. Production previously completed at the film lab is now being handled
at our office. This has become billable time complete with additional overhead
such as expensive computers, software and management.
We offer two basic solutions depending on your needs. These do not include photography licensing or other line-item expenses.
1. Medium volume moderately quick turnaround for a known number of finished high-resolution images.* Used mainly in portraits, products, architecture and magazine applications.
á Digital Capture: $25 each final image.
á Web Site Proofing: $55 (whole shoot, optional)
á Digital Assembly: $30 each final image. **
á Transmission fees: $25 each final image. ***
2. High Volume Quick turnaround for photojournalism, sports, and event coverage where a shoot can be up to 300 images.
á Digital Capture from 1-150 images: $125.
á Digital Capture from 150-300 images: $220.
á Digital Assembly/CD: $65
á Transmission fees: $25 each final image. ***
*Raw images will be captured in the Adobe RGB 1998 color space in 16-bit color depth.
**Each final photo will be lightly color corrected and processed two ways: Into a high-resolution Adobe RGB 1998 tiff (300 dpi at 16Óx20Ó), and into a low-resolution sRGB jpeg (10Óx72 dpi).
